Officers from the Criminal Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 25-year-old woman suspected of possessing significant quantities of drugs and cultivating cannabis.
The officers received information that the 25-year-old might be in possession of drugs in the apartment she rented. She was also wanted by the Wrocław–Stare Miasto District Prosecutor’s Office for legal purposes. When the police knocked on the door, the woman pretended that nobody was home. She decided to open it only after they threatened to force it open.
The police secured marijuana in the apartment, from which approximately 380 retail doses could be obtained. It is worth noting that the woman tried to dispose of the drug: she threw some of it out of the window and wanted to flush the rest down the toilet. Moreover, the officers secured three cannabis seedlings.
The police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail, investigating where the drugs came from and whether the woman was involved in their distribution.
The 25-year-old was placed in police custody. She could face up to 10 years in prison.
