On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers adopted regulations concerning the expansion of the areas of three economic zones. As a result, the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone was significantly enlarged, allowing for the creation of 11 new subzones, including the subzone in Bolesławiec. It is expected that more than 11,000 new jobs will be created throughout the entire area incorporated into the Wałbrzych zone.
In Bolesławiec, the land designated for the subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone is located in the immediate vicinity of the "Bolesławiec" motorway junction under construction and the "Krzyżowa" motorway interchange, and has access to the railway network connected to the pan-European railway transport corridor.
Talks are currently being held in Bolesławiec with several potential investors interested in building their facilities in the subzone.
