Officers from Police Station II in Jelenia Góra identified and then arrested a 20-year-old resident of the Janowice Wielkie municipality, suspected of property-related crimes.

According to the officers’ findings, the 20-year-old is suspected of at least seven crimes committed in Jelenia Góra in October this year. These included thefts and burglaries.

The man broke into and robbed utility rooms, cellars and garages. He most often stole power tools. He pawned some of them at one of the pawnshops in Jelenia Góra. The victims’ total losses amount to several thousand zlotys.

Police officers arrested the man on one of the streets in Jelenia Góra when he was trying to hide a drill stolen moments earlier from the officers.

The 20-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison.
