On Saturday, the TOP Ekoceramika Bolesławiec team played another second-division table tennis match. Their opponents were ŻOK Żmigród. It was a match between the second- and eighth-placed teams in the league. The game began as expected, with TOP leading 3–1, and after the doubles matches the Bolesławiec team led 4–2. In the following singles matches, TOP’s players proved their superiority and decisively won the remaining four matches. The entire match ended with a well-deserved 8–2 victory for the Bolesławiec team.
The points for the team were scored by: Łukasz Jaźwiec 2, Tomasz Fortunko 2, Jarosław Girulski 1.5, and Robert Girulski 2.5. After nine rounds, TOP Ekoceramika are second in the second-division table. Their next match in Bolesławiec will take place on 16 December at 12:00. TOP will face a team from Gorzów.
TOP’s defeat in the third division
The TOP Bolesławiec third-division team played an away match against STS Bartoszów. TOP travelled to the match expecting a certain victory, but unfortunately our third-division players suffered their first league defeat, losing narrowly 8–10. The points for our team were scored by: Tycjan Banaś 1; Mateusz Kowal 3; Mirosław Jaślan 1; and Marcin Wołowicki 3. Despite the defeat, the youngest team in the league retained first place in the third-division table.
Next Saturday, the third-division team will face Bobry Jelenia Góra, who are second in the league. The Jelenia Góra team are just one point behind our team. The match will be played in the sports hall at 3 Armii Krajowej Street at 16:00.
