The four individuals are suspected of stealing 20 benches that were military property. The practice continued from July to September this year in the Osiecznica municipality.

Officers established that the thefts were committed by young people aged between 15 and 18. The suspects, acting in groups of at least two, dismantled the benches. They took the cast-iron parts or carried away the entire structure, then dismantled it in a nearby forest. The losses were estimated at PLN 6,000. Police recovered some of the stolen property.

Furthermore, it emerged that one of the 15-year-olds and the 18-year-old were also responsible for breaking into a camping trailer and stealing equipment.

The penalty for theft is up to five years in prison, while theft with burglary carries a sentence of up to 10 years. The minors will answer for their actions before a family court.
