On Friday, 16 October, the National Education Day was ceremonially celebrated at the People’s House in Kruszyn. Every year, this is a time for summaries, but also for expressions of appreciation. The commune head and the directors of the municipal schools offered their thanks. Andrzej Dutkowski spoke first, thanking all employees of the commune’s education system for their daily effort and commitment. The commune head also highlighted the changes that had taken place in this area. He also mentioned the kindergartens currently under construction, the extensive educational facilities and the sports infrastructure.
The directors of the commune’s educational institutions recognized those teachers and education employees who, during the previous school year, had made a particular contribution to the development and good results of their schools. Those gathered were also informed why National Education Day in the Bolesławiec Commune was celebrated two days late. On 14 October, Arkadiusz Kruszelnicki, director of the Jan Brzechwa Primary School in Żeliszów, was presented with an award by the Minister of National Education. Meanwhile, Małgorzata Cołokidzi, headmistress of the Primary School in Brzeźnik, was awarded the medal of the Commission of National Education. This was connected with the award recipients’ visit to Warsaw. Students from the commune’s schools enhanced the ceremony with their performances. Congratulations to all those awarded and recognized.
