Police officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 30-year-old resident of Bolesławiec suspected of a series of property-related crimes.

The man was apprehended by police on October 16 this year, at around 5:00 a.m., on one of the streets in Jelenia Góra. He had broken into and robbed a Nissan car; his haul was a car radio worth PLN 145. Police recovered the stolen property.

Officers established that the man had committed at least nine more offenses in Jelenia Góra between September and October this year. During that period, the Bolesławiec resident broke into and robbed five cars. He stole car radios, car-cleaning cosmetics, a wallet, jewelry, a bank card and other small items.

In addition, he broke into two cellars and a garden shed, from which he stole, among other things, power tools and skis. He also scratched two cars.

The victims’ total losses amounted to several thousand złotys. The Bolesławiec resident was taken into police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
