Police officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested a 30-year-old resident of Bolesławiec suspected of a series of property-related crimes.

The man was apprehended by police on October 16 this year, at around 5:00 a.m., on one of the streets in Jelenia Góra. He had broken into and robbed a Nissan car; a car radio worth PLN 145 was among the items he stole. Police recovered the stolen property.

Officers determined that the man had committed at least nine other crimes in Jelenia Góra between September and October this year. During that period, the Bolesławiec resident broke into and robbed five cars. He stole car radios, car-cleaning products, a wallet, jewelry, a bank card and other small items.

He also broke into two basements and a garden shed, from which he stole, among other things, power tools and skis. What is more, he scratched two cars.

The victims' total losses amount to several thousand zlotys. The man from Bolesławiec was taken into police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
