On October 11, 2015, a four-person team consisting of: Monika Lachowska (Klub Biegacza Bolesławiec), Marlena Zazula (Klub Biegacza Bolesławiec), and Agnieszka and Kamil Makosiowie – represented Bolesławiec in our partner city in France, Nogent sur Marne, in a 10 km race.
174 runners took part in the race, including participants from Poland, Switzerland, Germany and, of course, France. The race itself? Two 5 km laps, with most of the route uphill. “Our team performed brilliantly; we have something to be proud of because we brought three trophies home,” says Monika Lachowska.
Kamil Makoś took first place in the men's open category with a time of 33:51. In the women's open category, Monika Lachowska took third place with a time of 43:50, as well as third place in her age category. Agnieszka Makoś finished with a time of 60:02, while Marlena Zazula completed the route in 60:03.
The athletes are very pleased and proud of themselves because they represented themselves in France in the best possible way. “The weather was perfect on the course; it was sunny and warm. The stay in France was also very successful from a tourism perspective. In addition to trophies, medals and pride, all four also brought back wonderful memories of charming Paris. See you on the course next year,” adds Monika Lachowska.
