The group operated in Bolesławiec County and neighboring counties, as well as in Lubusz Voivodeship. The burglars—Bolesławiec residents aged 23 to 32—committed a total of 12 crimes between September and October this year.

The criminals specialized in breaking into facilities involved in the transmission of electrical energy, such as transformer stations and hydroelectric power plants; they also stole property forming part of railway infrastructure and other valuable items.

Police have already recovered property worth several tens of thousands of zlotys, including water pumps, electric heaters, pressure washers, an industrial vacuum cleaner and many other tools. The case is still developing.

The detainees confessed to the acts they were accused of. The court will decide their further fate. All three face up to 10 years in prison.
