On October 10 this year, officers from the police station in Bogatynia stopped a car driver for inspection. The driver's behavior aroused the officers' suspicions regarding his sobriety. A test conducted with a drug tester confirmed the officers' suspicions. In addition, the man had several portions of methamphetamine on him, and after checking police information databases, it turned out that the 34-year-old resident of Bogatynia was subject to a court-imposed driving ban.

The second detention took place during the night of October 14–15 this year. Police officers from Bogatynia, patrolling the city, stopped a car driver for inspection. In this case too, the driver's behavior and condition aroused the officers' suspicions. A test conducted with a drug tester showed that the 28-year-old resident of Bogatynia had intoxicating substances in his system. And once again, after checking police information databases, it turned out that the man did not have a driving licence, and the vehicle he was driving did not have the required technical inspection or third-party liability insurance.

Both men were taken into police custody. They will answer for their actions before the court.
