The fair aimed to promote Polish production and innovation in industry, as well as raise the profile of vocational education. Among several dozen exhibitors were companies from the Wałbrzych, Kamienna Góra and Legnica economic zones, representatives of the “INVEST in EDU” Educational Cluster (of which our school is also a member), and selected vocational schools from the surrounding area.

In addition to taking part in competitions and lectures, students of the Bolesławiec “electronics school” presented the mini research projects they had prepared:

  • Electrical technician: “Building a smart home controlled using mobile devices running the Android platform” – prepared and presented by Class III E students: Jakub Kołcia and Paweł Rybacki
  • Digital graphic processes technician: “Practice as the best form of learning. Examining the increase in students’ competence levels after practical training in making prints using heat-transfer and sublimation technology” – prepared and presented by Class 4 H students: Patrycja Marcinów and Filip Zwolski
  • Electronics technician – “Methods of designing prototype structures of transistor amplifiers powered by renewable energy obtained from solar modules” – prepared and presented by Class III F students: Piotr Lampart and Dawid Sielużycki
  • ICT technician – “Examining the impact of various sources of interference on the operation of ICT networks based on selected transmission media” – prepared and presented by Class 4 E students: Tobiasz Czechowski, Jakub Sęk and Kamil Drozdek.

In the presence of Minister Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik, the students presented their achievements, which were met with great interest by the invited guests. The Smart Home application in particular, controlled by tablet, which can detect a burglar, control the heating, feed fish or simulate the owner’s presence through lighting, drew applause from the minister and those accompanying her.

The use of photovoltaic panels demonstrated the possibilities of powering electronic devices from alternative energy sources – in this case, solar energy. The T-shirts with prints and mugs made by the students, as well as the opportunity to make one’s own pin badge, attracted considerable interest from visitors to the ZSE stand.

The displays prepared by other schools were also interesting, including a go-kart model, a mini solar power plant, robot models, drones, a mini tank and a model of an automated production line.

The fair was organised by the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “Invest-Park”, while the event was held under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Economy Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik and Jelenia Góra Mayor Marcin Zawiła.

“Taking part in the fair enabled us to present our achievements, expand our vocational knowledge, meet future employers and learn about the technologies of the future,” say the students of the “electronics school”.
