Police were informed by hospital staff about the theft of a wheelchair worth PLN 3,000. Soon afterward, officers noticed a man in a wheelchair who matched the description of the perpetrator.
The 49-year-old was detained. He explained that his legs hurt and that he wanted to use the wheelchair for some time as a means of transport.
The wheelchair was returned to its owner. The 49-year-old detainee faces up to five years in prison.
