On Saturday, second-league TOP Ekoceramika Bolesławiec played its seventh-round match. The team’s opponent was AZS Akademia Ekonomiczna Wrocław. The match began quite fortunately, with TOP leading 3–1. After two victories in the doubles matches, the score was already 5–1 to the Bolesławiec team, and it became clear that TOP could not lose the match. Tomasz Fortunko put the finishing touch to the victory, comfortably defeating Kamil Duniec. Our player scored his sixth point of the match, securing a convincing victory for TOP.

The final two games ended with the points shared. Jaźwiec defeated Tomasz Jedynak, while Robert Girulski lost to Rafał Michalak. The match ended with a deserved 8–2 victory for the Bolesławiec team. The players who scored maximum points deserve special recognition: Łukasz Jaźwiec 2.5 and Tomasz Fortunko 2.5. Jarosław Girulski and Robert Girulski scored 1.5 points each. After seven rounds, TOP Ekoceramika is second in the second-division table tennis league standings. The next match will take place away in Legnica next Saturday, against STS Bartoszów, currently third in the table.

The third-league team won in Polkowice

Third-league TOP Bolesławiec played another away match. This time, the Bolesławiec team faced MKSTS Polkowice. After another excellent performance by our young players, the match ended in a decisive 10–1 victory. The points were scored by: Tycjan Banaś 1.5; Mateusz Kowal 2.5; Mirosław Jaślan 3.5; and Marcin Wołowicki 2.5. Under coach Marcin Wołowicki, the team recorded its sixth league victory and sits first in the third-league standings, bringing it closer to promotion to the second league. Next Saturday, the third-league team will face Granica Bogatynia. The match will be played in the sports hall at 3 Armii Krajowej Street at 4:00 p.m.
