The School Film Library. New Horizons Film Education project, carried out by the New Horizons Association and Kino Forum, is aimed at students and teachers who want to watch valuable films and discuss them as part of their school classes. The project enables children and young people to encounter both film classics and contemporary works. Participants deepen their knowledge of film art, develop their sensitivity and prepare to engage with culture independently and consciously.

Registration for the project for the 2015/2016 school year is available through the New Horizons Film Education website: https://www.nhef.pl/edukacja/artykul.do?id=657. Detailed information about the project can be found in the leaflets and on the New Horizons Film Education website: www.nhef.pl

The project is aimed at five age groups: preschools; grades I–III; grades IV–VI; lower-secondary schools; and upper-secondary schools, in thematic series. Each series consists of seven meetings during the year, from October 2015 to April 2016. Each group visits the cinema once a month. The meetings consist of a presentation delivered by an invited guest or a multimedia presentation, a film screening and a discussion for students who wish to take part. Teaching materials for teachers have been prepared for the films in cooperation with film critics, film scholars and teachers. Each consists of a film-studies section and a lesson plan.

The entire NHEF programme is aligned with the core curriculum and is recommended by the Ministry of National Education and Education Authorities.
