The clean-up covered the localities belonging to the school district: Brodowice, Ciechłowice, Chełm, Chobienia, Górzyn, Kębłów, Miłogoszcz, Nieszczyce, Naroczyce, Olszany, Orsk and Radoszyce.
Before work began, teachers held discussions explaining the idea behind the campaign and drawing particular attention to the safety rules applicable when working and travelling on public roads.
– For many years, we have promoted the idea of cleaning up the world and cared about the proper appearance of our surroundings, which is why we are happy to take on various tasks for the benefit and protection of the environment. As every year, the Rudna Municipal Office also supported us by providing waste bags and collection gloves – says Roman Kuziak, director of the School Complex in Chobienia.
In the localities, playgrounds, areas around bus stops and village community centres, nearby parks, road verges and ditches, sports fields, and the areas around cemeteries were cleaned up.
A total of approximately 27 bags of rubbish were collected.
