On Saturday evening, the Jazz and Blues Project group performed in Bolesławiec. The band performs jazz and blues standards as well as its own compositions. Old favorites such as Ellington’s "Time’s – Wasint," Gershwin’s "Summertime" and Romberg’s "Softy" were heard in interesting arrangements, sung by Anna Rejda, a guest performer with the band.
"Jazz and blues project" invites various musicians to play together in order to broaden their experience and repertoire. They came to Opałkowa Chata with vocalist Katarzyna Mirowska. Robert Jarmużek played the keyboards, Krzysztof Nartowski played bass, and Kuba Szurkawski played drums.
Concerts and music evenings at Opałkowa Chata have been held for three years. Performers there have included Jerzy Styczyński of the band Dżem, Roman Puchowski, an instructor at the Blues nad Bobrem workshops, Piotr Prządka and Bartek Miarka, as well as the bands "Pireus," "Istria" and "Blues Sound." During the music evenings, visitors could listen to records by Pink Floyd and Phil Collins.
Concerts at Opałkowa are now a regular feature and a slogan that Bolesławiec residents respond to, knowing that great entertainment awaits them. Opałkowa takes care of those who enjoy good music. Other restaurants and clubs do so as well, including the "Pegaz" club and "Piwnica Paryska." The concerts, bands and music presented are of an excellent standard. Restaurateurs know how to take care of both advertising and customers. Everyone involved in music culture in the city can only learn from them.
