In their two-hour program, Formacja Chatelet explored relations between women and men, presenting the ridiculousness of everyday situations. In the latest program, “Gender War,” the perspective on relations between women and men was enriched with sharp wit and sketches of a high artistic standard. As is widely known, the conflict between women and men has continued since the dawn of time. This is presumably why the leitmotif of the Krakow comedians’ performance was a song about Adam and Eve, excerpts of which alternated with sketches. During the show, hilarious short videos from the lives of couples were also screened.
During Professor Małczyk’s lecture, the audience learned the basic rules that apply on a first date. They watched the situational sketch “Colors,” in which a husband, following his wife’s instructions, chooses a paint color for the kitchen in a store; despite the salesperson’s enormous help, this proves to be an extremely difficult task. In the sketch “Marriage Agency,” which also provoked bursts of laughter, the search for the ideal woman ultimately leads to the construction of a female robot, which nevertheless produces the completely opposite result. In the end, the audience learned that most misunderstandings between women and men result from differences in the way they think. During their performance in Bolesławiec, the comedians discovered a new medical condition—górczyca—and the audience learned about one of the side effects of magnesium.
It was difficult for both the audience and the comedians to bring the meeting to an end, as demonstrated by four encores. A group photo was also taken at the end.
Further performances are ahead as part of the cultural Thursdays at Forum. Details can be found here or at kino.boleslawiec.pl. You are welcome.
