The pond was cleared of the reeds growing there, the surrounding area was tidied, tree branches were trimmed, the Przychowska Struga drainage ditch was maintained, and the pond’s water inflows and outflows were cleaned. Such comprehensive renovation work was carried out for the first time in 20 years.
– The pond covers an area of 1,140 m² and is approximately 1.5 metres deep. It can hold more than 1,500 m³ of water. In the Wądroże village administrative district, it serves as a fire-fighting water reservoir – explains Ewelina Bilańska from the Environmental Protection Department of the Municipal Office.
As part of the work, fresh water and fish were introduced into the reservoir.
