The sports court is multifunctional and includes a running track and a long-jump pit. A volleyball court is located right next to it, with everything set on a synthetic, durable and safe surface.
A playground and an outdoor gym have been built in the area beside the school. These recreational facilities are very well equipped. They include, among other things, tai chi wheels, a disc carousel, ECO fitness sets, a “climbing kingdom” set and a swing, as well as exercise equipment such as a rower, runner (elliptical trainer), surfer, stepper and twister.
All the facilities have been connected by a paved walkway. There are rubbish bins, benches and lawns. The fencing has been partially replaced.
The cost of this investment, entitled “Modernisation of the sports facilities for conducting extracurricular sports activities for children and young people as part of preventive programmes,” was approximately PLN 780,000.
This new sports complex, created as part of the city’s educational facilities standardisation programme, will host, among other things, lessons, extracurricular activities and preventive programmes. Residents of the surrounding housing estates will also be able to spend their free time there actively and engaging in sports.
