Police officers from the Juvenile and Pathology Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra identified and then detained a 16-year-old suspected of burglary and theft from an apartment.
In January last year, the boy broke into and robbed an apartment belonging to the Zakład Eksploatacji i Zasobów Komunalnych in Kowary. His loot included a sink, a steel plate from a tiled stove and other metal items worth approximately PLN 700 in total.
The boy sold the stolen property at a scrap-metal collection point. Police officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail; it is possible that the 16-year-old has committed more similar offenses.
A family court will decide his future.
