Firefighters from OSP Warta Bolesławiecka, OSP Raciborowice Górne and PSP Bolesławiec took part in an unusual rescue operation on Wednesday (September 16). At around 6:00 p.m., firefighters were called to Raciborowice Górne. A young boy was sitting in a window of an old lime kiln, approximately 10 metres above the ground (on the second floor), and was unable to get down safely.

Below are videos recorded by our Reader:

It is not known exactly why the boy climbed onto the structure. He may have wanted to test himself at climbing. However, he did not anticipate that he would be unable to descend on his own from the height he had managed to reach. Fortunately, firefighters rushed to help him. Using an Iveco vehicle with a Magirus mechanical ladder (SCD-42) from PSP Bolesławiec, the boy was safely brought back to the ground.
