Last week, eight basement break-ins took place over the course of two nights. At the time, the unknown perpetrator took only bicycles from inside them. From the very beginning, criminal investigators from Lubin worked on the case. After several days, two men suspected of stealing bicycles were taken into police custody.

As police determined, a 48-year-old resident of Lubin broke into basements, taking only more expensive bicycles. He then handed them over to a 22-year-old resident of Lubin, who sold them.

After the latest break-in, however, the fence decided that it was still not enough and also began breaking into basements in order to steal even more and, consequently, earn more.

Officers are continuing to work on the case. Both suspects face up to 10 years in prison.
