Once again, with success. This year, the composition took third place, while the wreath group was accompanied by Bolesławiec Commune Mayor Andrzej Dutkowski and Bolesławiec Commune Council Chairman Bogusław Uziej.
The national harvest festival traditionally began on Saturday, September 12. The Competition for the Most Beautiful Harvest Wreath for the President of the Republic of Poland’s Award was held then. Our voivodeship was represented by the village of Żeliszów. It was a tremendous experience and honor for the wreath group that their wreath had been recognized in the voivodeship.
__ISTOTNE_MARKUP_000009__The assessment of the most beautiful wreath is not only an opinion of the composition, but also of the manner of presentation, meaning the singing of the wreath. That is why members of the Bolesławiec Land Song and Dance Ensemble accompanied our delegation and carried out the task entrusted to them excellently. The wreaths were personally judged by the First Lady, Agata Duda. Among others, it was she who decided to award third place to the wreath from Żeliszów.
On Sunday, September 13, our delegation took part in a ceremonial Holy Mass at the Home Army Field Chapel together with the presidential couple. During the Mass, the wreaths were blessed. After the ceremony, the presidential couple presented diplomas to the wreath groups.
The procession set off for the stadium, where it was time for the Harvest Festival Ceremony. The Żeliszów village council had the opportunity to present itself during the television broadcast.
The wreath group consisted of Olga Burdyna, Elżbieta Potocka, Danuta Dobrzańska, Sylwia Polańska, Edward Potocki, Danuta Kowal, Józef Kowal, Robert Krzyżanowski, Danuta Kędzierska and Stefania Gałka.
