The detention took place on 11 September this year, at around 4 p.m., in Dziwiszów. While exiting a minor road, the driver of an Audi failed to give way to the driver of a Suzuki and nearly caused a collision with the vehicle.
The Suzuki was being driven by a Preventive Division police officer who was returning home after his shift. He stopped the Audi driver and notified the police duty officer of the incident, who sent a patrol to the scene.
The Audi was carrying two men from Jelenia Góra, aged 22 and 24; the 22-year-old was driving. During the proceedings, it emerged that the car had been stolen in Nowa Ruda on 7 September this year. The owner estimated its value at PLN 27,500.
The men were detained in police custody and then handed over to officers from Nowa Ruda.
