The event was attended by Dariusz Wisłodzki, the coach and initiator of the event, and Władysław Bigus, head of Rudna Municipality. The local government supports initiatives promoting an active lifestyle and spending free time together. “I am pleased by the involvement of the coaches and parents, thanks to which our children have a chance to develop in a healthy way. Such picnics are excellent for building close relationships within families and among our community. As the municipal authorities, we listen closely to the needs of residents, equipping sports facilities at schools and in villages with increasingly better equipment and allocating municipal funds to recreation,” says Władysław Bigus.
Competitions for the youngest participants, matches between mothers and fathers, and first-aid demonstrations complemented the picnic.
Another sports event is planned for September 13: a football tournament in Górzyno—the Andrzej Ślęk Memorial.
