Our group of six-humped camel ladies looks rather meagre next to two sturdy pensioners – Ahmed and Iwan. If they could both speak, they would surely have plenty to tell us about the past 20 years.
Both camels were imported from Russia and travelled for many years with a circus, where they performed as stars.
They have now left their circus work behind, but “if you rest, you rust”. That is why the two gentle XXL pensioners will receive tasks suited to them at Our Zoo. Regular camel rides will certainly return to Our Zoo’s attractions.
