Representatives of the Municipal Office and ZGM visited, among other places, buildings on Senatorska, Książęca and Piastowska Streets—around 50 premises in total. In the coming days, the commission will visit Mickiewicza, Rataja, Korczaka, Złotoryjska, Andersa, Anielewicza and Hutników Streets. Residents interested in the programme are informed about the visits by telephone.
Let us remind you that in June a call for applications for grants to carry out investments replacing solid-fuel heating with environmentally friendly systems was announced. Nearly 190 such applications have been submitted so far.
All applications are being reviewed on an ongoing basis for completeness and correctness of completion. In every case, Municipal Office services have calculated the eligible costs of the project and the environmental impact of the completed investment.
A positive decision on an application by the commission, following the inspection, will provide the basis for concluding a civil-law agreement between the Municipality of Legnica and the applicant to award a targeted grant for a project involving a change in the heating method to improve air quality.
It is worth recalling that the funding amounts to up to 45% of the documented eligible investment costs, including for individuals. Grants will be awarded up to the amount of funds earmarked for this purpose in the city budget in a given financial year. If these funds are exhausted, applications that were not completed will be considered first in the following financial year.
Let us also recall that entities not classified as part of the public finance sector are entitled to submit applications and use the grants, in particular: individuals, housing associations, legal persons, entrepreneurs and public finance sector units.
Investment projects completed from 1 January 2011 may be covered by the funding.
