The National Electoral Commission (PKW) has received data from 33 (out of 51) electoral commissioners. The results so far are not encouraging. Turnout in our county was only... 7.12%. It was highest in the city of Bolesławiec (8.68%), Osiecznica (7.91%) and the Bolesławiec commune (6.21%). Let us recall: for the referendum to be valid, more than half of those eligible to vote nationwide must take part in it.
Of the residents of our county who took part in the referendum, 80.63% voted in favour of introducing single-member constituencies (JOWs) in elections to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, 13.33% supported maintaining the existing method of financing political parties from the state budget, and as many as 94.37% supported introducing the general rule of resolving doubts concerning the interpretation of tax regulations in favour of the taxpayer.
