“Of Horses and Men” – is a blackly humorous film about a small community of people who ride horses and the extraordinary bond between its residents and these animals. Many of the stories presented in the film really happened.

“Ex Machina” – young computer programmer Caleb wins a company competition and spends a week in the laboratory where the company’s boss, Nathan, works. There, Caleb meets Ava, a beautiful woman who is the world’s first artificial intelligence in human form. Ava is the result of Nathan’s experiment. She feels, thinks, is moved and fears for her own future. Caleb does not know that he himself is part of an experiment intended to test how an average person would react to Ava.

“The Second Mother” – Val works as a housekeeper for a wealthy family in Sao Paulo. She does the laundry, cooks, cleans and is the confidante of 17-year-old Fabinho, whose mother never has time for him. Val has a daughter of her own, but has not seen her for years. She left her in their home town in the care of relatives. Unexpectedly, the girl announces that she is coming to visit. Jessica is now a young, confident woman who plans to study architecture in Sao Paulo and refuses to accept the relationship between the employers and the domestic staff. Instead of moving into her mother’s small room, she takes the guest room, helps herself to whatever she wants from the fridge, and even plays in the swimming pool with Fabinho and his friends. Step by step, the once inviolable household rules begin to fall apart, against Val’s wishes. Finally, in the middle of an argument between mother and daughter, Jessica’s secret is revealed.

“Mr. Turner” depicts the final years in the life of the famous and eccentric British painter William Turner. The artist eagerly devotes himself to travelling, which provides inspiration for his painting. He has an irrepressible temperament – he sexually exploits his own housekeeper and becomes involved with a woman who runs a seaside guesthouse. He appears to be a man full of contradictions: he associates with people from the upper classes but also visits brothels; he is adored both by ordinary citizens and by the royal family; he enjoys life, yet deeply experiences the death of his own father.
