Police officers from the Criminal Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 41-year-old man suspected of possessing a significant quantity of narcotic drugs.
On 2 September this year, at around 5:15 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle belonging to a taxi company for a roadside inspection on one of the city’s streets. The car was being driven in such a manner that the officers began to suspect that its driver was under the influence of alcohol.
The driver turned out to be a 41-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra. In the taxi, police officers secured several resealable bags containing marijuana—more than 170 sale portions. The 41-year-old man also had blood drawn for testing to determine whether he had been driving under the influence of narcotic drugs.
The man was taken into police custody. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
