This year, the winners of Kwiatoliga had to wait exceptionally long for their prize. A trip to a first-division match is the main prize funded annually by Jarosław Molenda. The reason for such a long wait was mundane: previously, no team from the top of the league had visited Lubin. Eventually, however, Wisła Kraków came to the capital of the Copper Basin, and both teams that had won the June Kwiatoliga went to the match.
The journey to Lubin did not take long, and after an hour the entire group arrived at the first-division stadium. An hour before the match began, the young people took their seats and watched both teams warm up attentively. The stadium filled with fans by the minute, and just before the match began, the seats were practically full. From the first minutes, Zagłębie supporters passionately cheered their team, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the stadium.
The match itself was a very interesting spectacle, although it ended in a goalless draw. Both teams nevertheless created an entertaining football show. Zagłębie came closest to winning, enjoying a clear advantage particularly in the first half. After the break, Wisła took control, but could not beat Liberdy. In the final minutes, the Lubin side created two excellent chances to take the lead, but failed to convert them. The match ended under floodlights, and together with a flare lit by Zagłębie supporters, this created a wonderful atmosphere.
It is worth mentioning that on the way to Lubin, the residents of Bolesławiec entertained themselves by predicting the match result. Almost everyone bet on a Wisła victory. Only one person predicted a home win, while the trip’s sponsor predicted a 0:0 draw... A prize had been prepared for anyone who guessed the score correctly, but in this situation the gift will have to wait until next year.
