This was supposed to be a simple theft-and-profit plan for a 50-year-old resident of Lubin. The man needed money. He came up with a way to “make” it. He set his sights on a van which, in his opinion, was suitable for sale as scrap and would not arouse suspicion.
The 50-year-old broke in and stole the vehicle. He did not anticipate that difficulties might arise while driving. At one point, a wheel came off the vehicle, effectively immobilizing it. The man must have been furious, because he did not even notice that he had left… his identity card in the van.
The 50-year-old confessed to the crime. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
