It concerns cooperation aimed at supporting people with physical disabilities. Since 1988, the foundation has continuously run a comprehensive social and professional activation programme for people with permanent spinal cord injuries who use wheelchairs. It is a non-governmental organisation established at their initiative and therefore has an excellent understanding of their needs and abilities.

Its activities include specialist classes, integration and sports events, vocational training, including computer training, driving courses and advisory services. A key element of its work is the direct professional activation of people with physical disabilities.

In addition, workshops, training sessions and advisory services are provided for the families and caregivers of people with disabilities. Every year, nearly 200 people from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship receive this support.

Through its activities, the foundation effectively fills the gap between hospital and home, enabling people who use wheelchairs to return to active life more quickly.

The activities carried out by the Active Rehabilitation Foundation “FAR” correspond to the tasks included in the 2015 Cooperation Programme of Bolesławiec County with entities conducting public-benefit activities and in the County Programme of Activities for People with Disabilities for 2011–2015.

Thanks to this declaration of cooperation, assistance for people with disabilities will be even more effective.
