The project is attended by 20 children from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 10 Polish children. During the first, introductory activities, the young participants painted pictures and later talked about themselves.

The activities took place in a friendly atmosphere. Immediately after arriving, the young guests from the Balkans toured the MDK studios and the Old Theatre. They all have Polish roots. Their families live in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the municipalities of Prnjavor and Banja Luka.

The concept of a joint holiday for young people of the Polish diaspora will enable them to integrate and get to know their homeland. This is another important gesture by the county authorities toward the Polish community in Bosnia. According to estimates by the president of the Community of Citizens of Polish Origin in Tuzla, the number of Poles in Bosnia and Herzegovina is nearly one thousand.

Until now, no forms of recreation for young Poles from the areas around Prnjavor and Banja Luka in Bosnia had been organized in Poland. The camp will last 12 days. It will be conducted in two formats, incorporating elements of a language camp and an arts camp.

Polish-language activities will take the form of theatre and literary workshops, as well as language games and activities. The artistic component includes visual arts and dance workshops, above all Polish dances. Both the guests from Bosnia and the Polish young people will take part in all the activities.

As part of the Polish-language activities, educational trips will be organized to Wrocław and Karpacz, a train trip to Zgorzelec-Görlitz, and bicycle excursions around Powiat Bolesławiecki.

At the end of the theatre set-design activities, the children and young people will participate as a street theatre group in the Ceramic Parade, held annually as part of the Days of Ceramics. The theatre and literary workshops will culminate in a performance for the residents of the county on August 28 at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec.
