Officers from the Traffic Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters checked the sobriety of 423 drivers during the “Sober Morning” operation. Twelve of them were intoxicated, including one who was subject to a court-imposed driving ban.
Let us recall that at the end of July, Bolesławiec traffic police also carried out this type of operation; at that time, all the drivers were sober.
Moreover, during the August operation, officers confiscated 10 driving licences for driving under the influence of alcohol, while one driver lost his licence for failing to stop for a roadside check.
In addition, 31 penalty notices were issued, 11 vehicle registration certificates were confiscated due to the poor technical condition of the vehicles, and 8 applications for punishment were submitted to the court.
