A calisthenics park is being built on the training pitches in the Municipal Park, next to the outdoor gym that was constructed earlier. This foreign-sounding name refers to a cleverly designed set of exercise equipment. Fans of this type of sport will build their strength on bars, handrails and other apparatus. All the equipment will be installed on a soft synthetic surface. The work was somewhat complicated by the heat, which prevented the surface from being poured.
Let us add that last year a similar facility was handed over to the residents of Legnica in Bielański Park, financed from the city budget. It is very popular.
The following projects have already been completed as part of the second edition of the Legnica Civic Budget: a gym on Tatrzańska Street in the Piekary A district, a recreational area near Primary School No. 20, the modernization of the sports field on Oświęcimska Street, and the construction of a playground at Primary School No. 9. A playground together with a basketball court on Goździkowa Street and an outdoor gym at Primary School No. 1 have also been completed. Work on the construction of the pavement on Struga Street is highly advanced.
