The most important criteria for winning the tender were the price and the completion date. Berger declared that it would complete the investment by 31 October. The warranty period is seven years.
“The reconstruction of bus bays together with the replacement of the road surface along Piłsudskiego Avenue and Sikorskiego Street in Legnica” is another project intended to improve safety and comfort of travel for both motorists and pedestrians.
A very important traffic-management solution will be the construction of a turbo roundabout at the intersection of Sikorskiego Street and Iwaszkiewicza Street. An additional traffic lane will be created here for vehicles turning right from Sikorskiego Street into Iwaszkiewicza Street. The road, pavements and cycle paths will, of course, also be reconstructed.
As part of this project, a new bus stop will be built just beyond the intersection of Sikorskiego and Iwaszkiewicza streets, in the direction of Wrocławska Street. Meanwhile, the bus bay on Sikorskiego Street, opposite the church, will undergo a major refurbishment. The bus stop on Sikorskiego Street before the intersection with Wrocławska Street will be removed.
