Officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters apprehended the perpetrators of a robbery targeting teenagers. The suspects are two residents of Bolesławiec, aged 21 and 20.
The incident took place on July 25 this year on Leśna Street in Bolesławiec. The two acted together, snatching bags and threatening the teenagers with a knife.
Moreover, officers established that five days later the same criminals stole a donation box worth PLN 1,000 from one of Bolesławiec’s shops.
The arrested suspects are also accused of robbing three young people in Warsaw; the incident took place on August 1. The Bolesławiec criminals stole phones and travel bags containing clothing. Police recovered the stolen property.
Officers are clarifying all the circumstances of these cases and checking whether the 20- and 21-year-olds have committed other similar offenses.
The detainees confessed and gave statements. At the request of the Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office, the court ordered their temporary detention for three months.
Both suspects could face up to 15 years in prison.
