On July 29, at around 4:30 p.m., a forester from the Rudna municipality called the duty officer at the Lubin police headquarters and reported a break-in at the forester’s lodge where he lives. The perpetrator forced open a window and entered the office, from which he took a mobile phone, cosmetic sets and sweets.

The suspicions fell on a man who lives in one of the localities in the Rudna municipality. There, police officers noticed the suspect heading toward his home with a full shopping bag.

When he saw the officers, the man ran into his house and then... tried to escape through a window. He was arrested. The shopping bag contained the stolen property, which was returned to its owner.

The 49-year-old resident of the Rudna municipality faces up to 10 years in prison. At the time of his arrest, the man was drunk, with more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
