To mark the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, a special screening of the 2014 film “Warsaw Uprising,” directed by Jan Komasa, will take place over the weekend (July 31–August 2). It is the world’s first feature film edited entirely from documentary footage, telling the story of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising through the eyes of two young brothers, filmmakers producing the Insurgent Film Chronicles and carrying out orders for the Home Army’s Bureau of Information and Propaganda.
