Police officers from the Lubin County Police Headquarters arrested a 19-year-old resident of Lubin, who was charged with several burglaries at a food-service establishment in the Staszica housing estate in Lubin, breaking into a bank account, theft, attempted theft and robbery.

It turned out that the young man committed most of these offenses in July this year. However, he began his criminal activity as early as May, when he stole PLN 500 from a grocery store in Lubin. Then, at the beginning of July, he attempted to steal a cash box containing PLN 20,000 from a car showroom in Lubin.

His subsequent offenses involved break-ins at the food-service establishment, carried out almost day after day, from which the 19-year-old stole money and mobile phones. He succeeded twice; on the third occasion, he failed to overcome the security measures.

Then, on July 21, he robbed another 19-year-old resident of Lubin. He punched him all over his body, knocked him to the ground, rendered him defenseless and then took his wallet containing money (PLN 30), documents and a bank card (which he used several times).

The suspect was arrested. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
