In June, before the summer break, the Nocturn and Modus groups jointly won the distinction of first place at the 16th National Dance Group Tournament “Stonoga 2015” in Chojnów. Congratulations!
During the 2014/2015 school year, participants from the studio’s three groups—Promyki, Nocturn and Modus—performed numerous times on the Forum stage. They presented dance performances by Halina Bałacka-Kłak, which were very well received by the Bolesławiec audience. In September, the dance performance “From One Lump of Clay” premiered to great success. Nearly 50 dancers took part, telling the story of Bolesławiec ceramics through the centuries in dance.
The performance was presented to the audience successfully two more times. In April, the performance “Metanoia,” staged twice, was equally well received. The studio’s performance on the Market Square to mark International Dance Day aroused many positive emotions among the residents of Bolesławiec. On that occasion, class participants, together with their friends and families, presented a spectacular 10-minute routine.
The dancers also took part in the large-scale BOK-MCC production “The Lion King,” performed at this year’s ceremony for the presentation of the Mayor of Bolesławiec’s Awards for promoting the city, and appeared in the outdoor events programme, including City Days. In August, we will see them at the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival.
