The host was councillor Remigiusz Brzęk, while the Gminy Ośrodek Kultury and the Ręczyn Village Council took care of the smooth organization of the festival. A very large group of invited guests attended the event: representatives of Senator Jana Michalskiego, current and former municipal authorities, representatives of Ricardo, the company that built the community center, and many others.
The event began with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, performed by the head of Gmina Zgorzelec, Piotr Machaj, Chairman of the Gmina Zgorzelec Council Wojciech Dobrołowicz, Ryszard Droszcz, owner of Ricardo, councillor Remigiusz Brzęk, and the village head of Ręczyn, Małgorzata Brzęk.
After the building was blessed, everyone gathered could officially cross the threshold of the new community center. Flowers and thanks were presented, among others, to Piotr Machaj, head of Gmina Zgorzelec, who also emphasized the role of the initiator of the construction, his predecessor – Kazimierz Janik, as well as... Kazimierz Janik and Ryszard Droszcz.
The artistic program began with the Representative PGE Orchestra, followed by the Górnołużyckie Błękitne Kamizelki from Łagów. After the Kamizelki, the Ti Amo group from Jędrzychowice danced and sang in a different style. The performances concluded with the Horyzont group, which got everyone dancing.
The construction of the multi-purpose facility was made possible by European Union funds under the “Village Renewal and Development” measure. The total costs incurred in connection with the construction amounted to PLN 1,190,724, including approximately PLN 500,000 in EU funding. The investment included the construction of a modern building with sports and recreational facilities, parking spaces, and a sports games field.
