Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station II in Jelenia Góra detained a 37-year-old woman, a resident of Jelenia Góra County, suspected of theft and burglary.
According to investigators, the incident occurred in June this year in Jelenia Góra. The suspect used her acquaintance’s payment card several times. A month earlier, the woman had moved in with the victim, and together they made purchases using his bank card.
When the victim realized that his card had disappeared and that someone was using it to withdraw money from his account, he notified the police. Officers identified and detained the person suspected of the offense. The woman withdrew... more than PLN 5,000 from her acquaintance’s account.
The 37-year-old admitted guilt. She may now face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
