The competition aims to foster talent and popularize the poetic work of young authors. Primary and secondary school students may participate. The competition will be decided in two age categories: 8–14 and 15–19 years.
To participate in the event, poems—unpublished and not previously awarded in poetry competitions, on any subject (a maximum of 3 works)—should be submitted in 4 copies by 8 October 2015 (the postmark date is not decisive) to: Legnica Public Library, Children’s and Youth Branch No. 1, 30 W. Łukasińskiego Street, 59-220 Legnica.
Each work should be marked with a pseudonym; the same pseudonym should appear on the enclosed envelope containing a note with the author’s first name and surname, address and age. The submitted works will be assessed by a jury consisting of critics and representatives of the organizers. The organizers plan to award book prizes.
The competition results will be announced and the prizes presented to the winners on 14 November 2015, at 12:00 p.m.; the authors of awarded and distinguished works will be notified by post.
The organizers plan to publish a collection containing the awarded and distinguished works, without the right to remuneration, and will also reimburse travel costs (PKP and PKS tickets) to the ceremonial conclusion of the competition for the winners of the first three prizes in each age group.
