The Municipal Cultural and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn, invites everyone to participate in the “Letter” literary competition. The aim of the competition is to save the “art” of letter writing from being forgotten, as well as to develop imagination and the ability to express oneself freely through original texts.
Participants must submit a letter on any subject, written by themselves. The addressee and situations described in the letter may be fictional. Each person may submit two letters, handwritten in legible writing. The envelope should also contain a sheet of paper with the participant’s details (first and last name, address or contact telephone number).
Terms of participation
The authors of the letters will be assessed in the following age categories:
- category from 10 to 12 years old
- category from 13 to 15 years old
- category aged 16 and over (there is no upper age limit)
The competition is open to everyone, regardless of their place of residence. The letters will be assessed by a competition committee. The organiser offers attractive prizes and publication of the winning works (with the author’s consent). Entries should be sent to: Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Sportu w Bolesławcu z/s w Kruszynie, Kruszyn – ul. Główna 8, 59-700 Bolesławiec.
Entries may be sent until October 11 (the postmark date determines eligibility). The winners will be notified by letter or telephone about the competition results and the date of the prize-giving ceremony.
