On 7 July 2015, at approximately 6:11 p.m., the duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra was notified that, on one of the city’s streets, a man had smashed a pane in the entrance door of one of the buildings and damaged a parked car. The property belonged to… his mother, who estimated the losses at PLN 3,000.
Police detained the 30-year-old several streets away. It turned out that, since the beginning of April this year, the man had been psychologically abusing his mother. He threatened to kill her, started arguments, and changed the locks on the doors of her apartment (the woman does not have access to it).
The 30-year-old was placed in police custody. He could face up to 5 years in prison.
