After 9 a.m., firefighters received information about gas escaping at a plant producing hygiene products in Nowogrodziec. Nine fire service units were dispatched to the scene, and a chemical unit from Legnica was also called. Firefighters discovered gas concentrations exceeding standards in sewer manholes and rooms below ground level, posing an explosion hazard.
All employees were evacuated, and the gas supply to the installation was shut off. The search for the leak site is ongoing.
The problem will be resolved by the company that built the installation.
