The incident occurred on June 26, 2015, in one of the bars in Jelenia Góra. The suspect took advantage of the victim’s momentary inattention when he was paying the bill and briefly placed his wallet on the counter. The 28-year-old stole it.
The perpetrator also took the documents and bank card. It turned out that the man tried four times to use the stolen card and transfer money from the victim’s account to his own.
When the wallet’s owner realized that he had been robbed, he notified the police.
The 28-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra was detained. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
